MirrorFlip is designed to be simple. Here are answers to the most common questions. For a walkthrough, follow the setup guide.
How do I enable MirrorFlip in Safari?
After installing, go to Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions and turn on MirrorFlip. Then open Safari, tap the Page Menu button (AA on older iOS versions) in the address bar, and MirrorFlip will appear in the list.
How do I flip a webpage?
Open Safari and go to any webpage. Tap the Page Menu button (AA on older iOS versions) on the left side of the address bar, tap MirrorFlip, then tap Flip Page. The page mirrors instantly. Tap again to unflip.
How do I flip just the video?
Tap the Page Menu button (AA on older iOS versions), tap MirrorFlip, then tap Flip Video. This mirrors the video player only, leaving the rest of the page as normal.
MirrorFlip isn’t appearing in the Safari menu
Make sure the extension is enabled. Go to Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions and confirm MirrorFlip is toggled on. If it still doesn’t appear, try closing and reopening Safari.
The page flipped but then went back to normal
Some websites reload their content dynamically. If the page refreshes or navigates to a new URL, the flip resets. Simply tap Flip Page again after the page loads.
Video flip isn’t working on some sites
Compatibility depends on the website and its player. Protected video, embedded players and native fullscreen can limit what an extension can change. Try playing the video within the webpage. See the setup guide for more help.
The flip turns off when I go fullscreen
When a video enters native iOS fullscreen, it moves outside Safari’s reach. Stay in inline mode (don’t tap the fullscreen button) to keep the flip active on the video.
I selected Always on All Sites but it reset
Your permission choice is saved locally on your device. If you reinstalled the app or cleared Safari data, your saved preferences will have reset. Simply select your preferred access level again from the MirrorFlip popup.
Does MirrorFlip collect any data?
No. MirrorFlip collects nothing at all. No browsing history, no usage data, no analytics, no personal information of any kind. Everything runs locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
